What Shopify mode changes

An e-commerce blog article is not written like a regular one. Once the store is connected, Wisewand reaches what it exposes (photos, titles, prices, product information, customer reviews) and uses it as raw material. In a comparison, the ranked products are yours, with their real photos, and internal links point to your product pages and category pages.

  • Up to six kinds of product blocks: a product card with photo, title, price and reviews, a three-product comparison table, an end-of-article banner, buttons to the product page. The mix varies per article.
  • Internal linking targets your products, your collections (a Shopify collection is the category page) and your articles.
  • Absolute priority to the real photos from your product pages, including to illustrate each section of a ranking.

The native connector replaces the old webhook route: it opens direct access to your store's API, which makes it a writing mode in its own right rather than just a publishing channel.

getting started

From the store URL to the first article

The onboarding is the Autopilot one, with a connection step added.

1

Give your store URL

That is the only thing asked when the project is created. Wisewand reads the sitemap and analyses your topics and content clusters.

2

Approve the proposed plan

Wisewand proposes a 30-day editorial calendar geared to e-commerce: comparisons, buying guides, rankings. Topics and keywords stay editable.

3

Connect Shopify, then let it run

The connection goes through OAuth: one authorisation to accept on the Shopify side, nothing else. After that, Wisewand publishes on its own. Rich formatting, cards and images are on by default, and the cards' CSS stays configurable.

e-commerce mode

Written to sell, not only to rank

Your store's data comes first, and that changes the nature of the article.

Your products inside the article

Product cards, comparison tables, end-of-article banners and buttons to the product page. It is the rich formatting option, applied to your catalogue.

Linking to products and categories

Internal links target your products, your collections and your articles. Your category pages get links too, not just your product pages.

Sources you can pin to the store

Well-documented store: switch external research off, and the article only says what your store says. Newer store: allow it, at the cost of potentially lower precision.

Product and category pages

Manual mode also generates the store's own pages: one product page by hand, several at once, or a file import for bulk generation.

A long-tail strategy

Ranking on many precise queries rather than a few big keywords, taking advantage of the fact that an e-commerce site ranks more easily than a purely informational one.

Google and the AIs at once

The same dual visibility as the rest of the product: content designed to surface on Google and to be cited inside generative AI answers.

What the connection needs, and what it does not do

The connection is made through OAuth from your Shopify account, and is revoked the same way. Wisewand writes and publishes content: it does not change your prices, your stock or your existing product pages. On the quality of product information, everything depends on what your store exposes, which is why sources can be pinned to the store when your product pages are rich.

The questions we get about Shopify

Is the extension official?
Yes. It was reviewed and approved by the Shopify team, and it is published on the Shopify App Store.
What exactly does Wisewand publish on my store?
E-commerce blog articles: product comparisons, buying guides and rankings, published into your store's blog. Manual mode additionally generates product pages and category pages.
Do the articles use my real product photos?
Yes, they come first: the photos from your product pages illustrate the products and the sections. If the store does not expose enough of them, a generation system takes over, working from reference images of the model concerned.
Does internal linking reach my category pages too?
Yes. A Shopify collection is the category page, and automatic linking targets products, collections and articles.
How do I keep an article from saying wrong things about my products?
By pinning sources to the store: Wisewand then uses only the information your store exposes, with no side research. That is the setting to pick as soon as your product pages are properly filled in.
What does it cost?
Autopilot starts with a 3-day trial for 1 euro, then 77 euros per month, cancellable at any time. Manual mode runs on credits: about 1 credit per article, they stack, and they never expire.
